“In dwelling, be close to the land. In meditation, go deep in the heart. In dealing with others, be gentle and kind. In speech, be true. In ruling, be just. In business, be competent. In action, watch the timing. No fight: No blame.”-Lao Tzu
Kathryn-Ruth became a member of the Opelika team in 2016 after working for four years with another firm. Discovering a love for numbers and all of the different avenues you can explore in the field of accounting, Kathryn-Ruth graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Concentration in Accounting. Today, she finds herself thriving in that very world of variety as her job allows her to work in bookkeeping, payroll and quarterlies.
Over the years, Kathryn-Ruth found that there is genuine power in asking questions and discovering the concerns of others. She realizes that each client has individual needs and, therefore, needs to be cared for individually. Desiring to understand the whys behind her client’s reasoning, she continually strives to enhance her understanding of others and their vision in order to help them generate true success. This humble and kind spirit causes her to win the hearts of those she works for and with.
Taking several months off from life in “corporate America,” Kathryn-Ruth once worked unpaid at a brewery. To this day, she enjoys spending her free time in the home-making of beer and wine, along with running and practicing yoga. Kathryn-Ruth is married and has a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog named Chloe, who pretty much runs the house.
