“It’s not whether you get knocked down; it’s whether you get back up.” -Vince Lombardi
Rodney Hawkins became a member of the Auburn team in 2012 as a supervisor in tax, audit, and controllership. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy, Rodney completed his schooling at Auburn with honors as a Cum laude, made the Dean’s List and was a Graduate Research Assistant. Today, Rodney serves small businesses, individuals with their tax planning, and clients with representation before the IRS, as well as real estate development clients.
Saving clients thousands of dollars in potential penalties and advising new clients on entity selection for potential tax benefits, Rodney treats others with the kindness of the golden rule. His belief in genuine and loyal service takes him beyond typical customer service, and it’s this high standard that gives him success in reaching his clients. In the midst of life’s ups and downs, Rodney believes that getting back up when life knocks you down is the key to success.
Rodney grew up on a farm and bought his first cow when he was only 10 years old. Between the football, music festivals and the belief that it’s the loveliest village on the plains, Auburn is the only place that Rodney and his family want to call home.
